Youth baseball history was made in Lebanon in December 2012. Two local, long-time, youth baseball organizations have come together as one to offer "a better brand of youth baseball to Lebanon."

The Lebanon Kiwanis Club and the Lebanon Rotary Club have sponsored Little League and Dixie Youth Leagues in Lebanon for a combined 70 plus years, the 2013 season will be operated as one. Little League is the sanction for the 6-10 year old leagues and Dixie Youth will be the sanction for our 11-12 year olds.

It's been a long time coming, and we're excited about what this and future seasons will bring!

The Lebanon Rotary Club

The Lebanon Rotary Club assumed the oversight and operational responsibilities of the Dixie Youth Baseball program in 2001. Each year between 150 to160 players participate in the program. A major objective of our sponsorship program has been to offer, at no or minimum cost to all age-appropriate players, the ability to participate in youth baseball. Our spring season is a competitive league with a league champion and allstars, there is no registration fee required to play. Our fall season is a fundamental league where players will work on their fundamentals and the understanding of the game, there is a minimum registration fee required. Lebanon Rotary Baseball League is one of the areas many recreational activities for our youth. It provides a disciplined, team building, and fun baseball experience for youth ages 9-12. There are two divisions within the league. The minor league is for players age 9-10. The major league is for players age 11-12.

We appreciate the opportunity to have a part in creating lasting memories for these players and ask for your partnership in making their baseball experience enjoyable and memorable.

The Lebanon Kiwanis Club

The Lebanon Kiwanis Club was chartered January 9, 1946. Several members of the Club had eleven year-old boys who made up baseball teams and played one another. Club members had the foresight to see a need in our community for organized baseball and after many meetings and hard leg work, "Kiwanis Little League" was born in 1955. By May of the same year, The City of Lebanon had one field with lights and ready for play. Presently we have two fields. In 2012, approximately 200 plus young boys and girls participated, plus Managers/Coaches. The City of Lebanon maintains the fields all others operating the League are Kiwanis member volunteers. In the 58 seasons that the League has existed, no child has ever paid to play!

Our League takes pride in providing youth of our community with an organized, safe, environment while learning sportsmanship, networking, team experience and making memories for a lifetime. We invite you to come on out this season and ENJOY THE GREAT GAME OF BASEBALL!
